Express train derailed in Chattogram

Eight wheels of the Chandpur-bound Sagarika Express train derailed near Pahartali station in the port city. However, no casualties were reported. The accident took place around 8:00 am yesterday . The train was leaving Chattogram Station at 7.40 am for Chandpur. Railway Chattogram Divisional Transport Officer Snehashish Das Gupta told media that rescue work was carried out quickly after the accident. The train left for Chandpur around at 10 am. . According to railway sources, Pahartali station is a grade-3 station. Long-term experience is required to work in these stations. But the one who has been given the responsibility of controlling the station here is Assistant Station Master Rakibul Islam whose service age is not yet two years.
