63 held with drugs in city

Dhaka Metropolitan Police (DMP) and Detective Branch (DB) have arrested at least 63 drug traders on charges of selling and consuming drugs in the capital.
Detective Branch of the DMP in association with the members of local police stations of the city carried out the drives separately on Tuesday and Wednesday.
During the drives, the law enforcers recovered 13,619 pieces of contraband Yaba pills, 212 grams of heroin, 26 kg of hemp, 5 bottles of phensedyl and 117 pieces of injections, said DMP Deputy Commissioner (Media) Masudur Rahman.
A total of 46 cases were filed with different police stations under Narcotics Control Act, DC added.
