Autism center opens in Mirsharai

An autism center has started its journey at Mirsharai in Chattogram. Local MP Engineer Mosharraf Hossain inaugurated the autism center on Friday.
The operation of the autism center was started at the office of Organisation for the Poor Community Advancement (OPCA) Mostyan Nogor of the upazila.
Speaking as the chief guest the MP said: “OPCA has been working for the poor people of the area for so long. They have also been working for the autistic people. Their dream is to make them self-reliant.” He also said: “Establishing the new autism center is a great initiative. He hailed the activities of the organization and said that they will get every support from us to make the project successful.”
Chief Executive, OPCA, Md Alamgir presided over the inauguration event.
Member of Chittagong District Council and President, Mirsharai Upazila Awami League, Seikh Ataur Rahman was special guest of the program.
Among others, Mayor of Barairhat Municipality, Nizam Uddin, Mayor of Mirsharai Md Gias Uddin, Chairman of Korer Haat Union, Enayet Hossain Nayan, Chairman of Durgapur Union, Abu Sufian Biplob, Social worker Mir Alam Masuk, and other delegates were present at the programme.
Ambassador of Autism Center Poet and Writer Kaiyum Nizami explained the purpose, vision and mission of the Autism center.
First building will be named after Engineer Mosharraf Hossain, later he announced.
