Wife held for ‘hammering’ husband to death in Satkhira
UNB, Satkhira :
A women was detained for allegedly hammering her husband to death in Patkelghata upazila on early Saturday.
The deceased is identified as Mojid Morol, 60, a street-beggar at Hjrapara village of the upazila.
Rejaul Islam, officer-in-charge of Patkelghata Police Station, said Mojid married Firoza Khatun, 50, one year ago. The couple had been residing in a house at Hajrapara village.
On early Saturday, Firoza hammered her husband to death following a mutual altercation.
Later, police arrested the woman and described her mentally impaired.
The body of the deceased was sent to Satkhira Sadar Hospital morgue for autopsy.
