Killings in Gaza Strip protested

Different socio-cultural organisations on Friday urged the world leaders to put pressure on the Tel Aviv government to stop aggression instantly against the Gaza Strip and the Palestine people.
They termed the killing of the civilians as gross violation of human rights for which Israel must be condemned and compelled to pay compensation.
The leaders of these organisations said these at a human chain programme organised in front of the National Museum yesterday (Friday).
The organizations were Dhaka University Student Association for Justice, Bangladesh Chhatra Union, Ganajagaran Mancha and Bhasani followers.
The leaders of the organisations said, this is not war, but holocaust. The world never saw in the past such indiscriminate killing of children and women. But surprisingly the world leaders and the human rights organizations have shut their eyes and heart to the mass killing in the Gaza Strip by Israel.
“The United Nations (UN) has been established to protect the oppressed, not to serve the stronger, as it does now. Though it had done some good jobs, the role of the UNO in regards to the invasion of the Gaza Strip by Israel is an act of endorsing aggression. We condemn the role of UN and urged it to take initiatives to stop killing there and to ensure a peaceful atmosphere,” they said.
The organisations also brought out a procession from in front of the Shahbagh Police Station, which ended in front of the Public Library after parading through the Dhaka University.
