CDA projects to facilitate mitigation of water-logging : Mayor

Chittagong City Mayor of Chittagong AJM Nasir Uddin said the proposed projects of Chittagong Development authority will resolve the water logging problems of the port city but until these implementation, City Corporation will re-excavate the canals aimed at increasing the capacity of the water flowing including the deepness of the canals.
 He said the gates in Moheshkhal in CDA residential area will be closed down very shortly .
He disclosed it while exchanging views with the newly elected committee of RSKA (a socio cultural organisation of Agrabad in city) as chief guest yesterday.
 He told the executive committee members of the RSKA to make arranged for closing and opening of the sluice gates of Moheskhal during tide and ebb tide .
 The view exchanging meeting was held at City Corporation Auditorium yesterday.
He told the committee members of RSKA that during his tenure, the city development work is progressing fast with the all out cooperation of the govt. He also called upon the city dwellers to pay the holding tax in due time and with the cooperation of all the citizens irrespective of caste and creed to cooperate the CCC for turning the city into a clean and green city, sources said.
