3-day int’l confce on legal education at EWU

The Department of Law, East West University (EWU) arranged a three-day international conference on ‘Legal Education’ at EWU campus, Aftabnagar in the capital on Thursday. This conference has brought together a number of scholars, professors, researchers, practioners and students from 13 institutions of four different countries like Bangladesh, India, Sri Lanka, and Nepal.
In the conference, the guests of opening and closing session were attended by Justice M Tafazzul Islam, former Chief Justice of Bangladesh, Justice Md. Muzammel Hossain, former Chief Justice of Bangladesh, Dr Mohammed Farashuddin, Chairperson, Board of Trustees, EWU, Dr Mizanur Rahman, former Chairman, National Human Rights Commission Bangladesh, Prof Dr Fakhrul Alam, Professor, Department of English, University of Dhaka, Prof Dr Salimullah Khan, Director, Center for Advanced Theory, University of Liberal Arts, Bangladesh, and Dr Fouzia Mannan, Dean, Faculty of Liberal Arts and Social Sciences, EWU.
Speakers at the conference have emphasized the need and importance of legal education in the current world. They encouraged the researchers for more research work on Legal Education sector. They stated that the conference also disseminating knowledge to academic and professional. Prof Dr Tureen Afroze, Chairperson of the Department of Law, EWU was the convenor of the conference.
