Ctg Abahani reach semifinal

Chittagong Abahani Ltd reached semifinal of the Walton 29th Federation Cup Football Tournament eliminating Sheikh Russel KC by 4-2 goals in tie breaker under floodlight at Bangabandhu National Stadium on Thursday.
The 2nd quarterfinal match between two teams was locked in 1-1 goal in the stipulated time and also in the extra session.
Mehrab Hossain Nayan put Sheikh Russel KC ahead in the 10th minute while national booter Zahid Hossain restored the parity for Chittagong Abahani in the 13th minute in the schedule 90-minute.
In the tie breaker, Alison, Masuk Miah Zony, Sohel Rana and Tauhidul Alam Sabuz scored for Chittagong Abahani while Dawda Sessae and Biswanath Ghosh netted for Sheikh Russel KC.
Chittagong Abahani will play the 2nd semifinal on June 3 at 7:15 pm against the winners between Muktijoddha Sangsad KC and Rahmatganj MFS, who will meet each other in the 4th and last quarterfinal on Saturday (May 27).
Sheikh Jamal Dhanmondi Club, which booked a seat for the semifinal eliminating Dhaka Mohammedan SC by 1-0 goal, will play the first semifinal on Friday (June 2) against the winners between Dhaka Abahani Ltd and Brothers Union Club, who will meet each other on Friday.
