SA Basketball: Bangladesh finish runners-up
Bangladesh finished runners-up in the 5th South Asian Basketball Championship losing their 4th and last match to stronger India by 71-142 points in the Maldives capital Male on Tuesday. With the day’s feat, India earned the rights to play in the final round of the FIBA Asia Cup billed for August 10-20 in Lebanon.
Earlier, Bangladesh earned the 3rd consecutive victory in the 5th South Asian Basketball Championship beating host Maldives by 86-52 points on Monday.
Bangladesh made a good start in the South Asian Basketball meet beating Nepal by 76-66 points in the opening match last Saturday and earned the 2nd consecutive victory beating Sri Lanka by 90-80 points on Sunday.
