One killed, 30 injured in AL rival clash

A woman was killed and at least thirty persons were injured in a clash between to groups of local Awami League at Majhardia under Saltha upazila of Faridpur over establishing supremacy at the area on Thursday.
According to local sources, at about 8 am, a group of people loyal to former union parishad chairman and upazila AL vice-president Habibur Rahman alias Hamed Mia clashed with group of Selim Mollah, Organizing Secretary of Majhardia union AL .
At about 12 pm Kuti Khatun, 55 was injured as she tried to resist a group of people who attacked her son. She was immediately taken to Faridpur Medical College Hospital and later died.
