Sonali Bank, BASIC Bank sign payment gateway service agreement
BASIC Bank PLC signs a deal with Sonali Bank PLC to connect with the Sonali Payment software collecting all fees and charges from various educational institutions that are service recipients of Basic Bank using Sonali Bank's payment gateway. The signing ceremony was held at the conference room of Sonali Bank's head office on Tuesday. Quamruzzaman Khan, Managing Director and CEO of BASIC Bank, and Md Shawkat Ali Khan, Managing Director and CEO of Sonali Bank, signed the agreement on behalf of their respective organisations.
BASIC Bank PLC has signed a service agreement with state-owned Sonali Bank PLC to connect with the “Sonali Payment Gateway”, Sonali Bank’s own payment software.
Under the agreement, customers will be able to pay fees and charges of educational institutions, utility bills, universal pension instalments, challan fees, and other payments of government and private organisations through BASIC Bank more easily and securely using the “Sonali Payment Gateway”.
Md Quamruzzaman Khan, Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer of BASIC Bank PLC, and Md Shawkat Ali Khan, Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer of Sonali Bank PLC, signed the agreement on behalf of their respective organisations, according press release.
The signing ceremony was held at the conference room of Sonali Bank’s head office on Tuesday.
Among others, Abu Md Mofazzal and Subhash Chandra Das, FCA, FCMA, Deputy Managing Directors of BASIC Bank PLC; Md Rafiqul Islam, Deputy Managing Director of Sonali Bank PLC; Aklima Islam, General Manager of Sonali Bank PLC; Sumit Ranjan Nath, General Manager of BASIC Bank PLC; and officials of both banks were present at the programme.
