Bangladesh Navy clinch V-Day Hockey title

Bangladesh Navy clinched title of the Marcel Victory Day Hockey competition beating Bangladesh Army by 3-2 goals in penalty shootout in the final keenly contested final held on Monday at Moulana Bhasani National Hockey Stadium in the city.
The match rolled into a tie breaker after the regulation time ended 1-1 goal draw.
In the regulation time, Khorsedur Rahman put Bangladesh Army ahead converting a penalty corner in the 57th minute while Russell Mahmud Jimmy scored the equalizer for Bangladesh Navy converting a penalty corner in the 65th minute of the match.
State Minister for Foreign Affairs Shahriar Alam, MP, was the chief guest in the final and distributed the prizes among the winners.
