Bi-annual conference of Saidpur Communist Party held

Bi-annual conference of the upazila committee of Saidpur Communist party held at Murtuza Institute Saidpur recently. In the first session of the conference National flag was hoisted, opening ceremony and colorful rally were held. General Secretary of the Communist party of Nilphamari District Comrade Atiar Rahman was the chief guest of the conference. President of Saidpur Upazila committee Comrade Nuruzzaman Joardar presided over the program. In the last session of the conference a committee of 13 members formed making Comrade Nuruzzaman Joardar President and Delwar Hossain Javisco General Secretary.
World Tourism Day observed in Kishoreganj

Different organisations including Kishoreganj District Administration and NGO’s arranged colourfull rally, postering, discussion and documentary film marking the World Tourism Day yesterday. A discussion meeting was held at local Collectorate Conference room with ADC (Gen) Tarafder Md. Akhter Jamil in the chair. DC Md. Azimuddin Biswas attended the discussion meet as chief guest. It was addressed among others, by ADC (R) Mahabub Hasan Shaheen, NDC Uttema Fatema, CAB President Alam Sarowar Tito, District Press Club President Mostafa Kamal and T.I.B President Saiful Hoque Mollah Dulu.
Skill empowerment of women stressed

Participants of three-day training completion ceremony of Girl Guider’s of Bangladesh Girl Guides Association yesterday stressed on expanding girl guiding activities for preventing militancy, life skill development and more empowerment of women. The ceremony was held at Barisal Guide House, where 128 Girl Guide trainers from 102 educational institutions of 5 upazilas received training on guiding activities and awarded certificates of training completion. The ceremony was presided over by Rabeya Khatun, additional regional commissioner of BGGA. Abdul Motaleb, secretary Barisal Education Board, as chief guest, distributed certificates. Jesmine Nahar, secretary and acting district commissioner, Begum Faizun Nahar, regional commissioner, of the association addressed in the programme.
Advocacy meeting on standard primary edn held

An advocacy meeting was held in Ramapl at Upazila URC Centre yesterday. The theme of the advocacy meeting was ” Standard Primary Education : Needed Skilled and the Cordial Teacher”. Ahsania Mission of Rampal Branch arranged the advocacy meeting. Being presided over by Alhaj Ahamed Ali ,UNO r Rajib Kumar Roy was present there as Chief Guest. Upazila URC Officer S.M.Abdul Zabbar , Assistant Primary Education Officer Lolon Kumar Mondal and Sk. Saheen Hossain were present there as special guest. Technical officer of Ahsania Mission Md. Abdus Sattar presented the theme paper before the invited guest . Md. Bazlur Rahman , ADP Manager of World Vision Tapan Kumar Mondal placed their opinion on the selected theme and pointed out the problem of imparting primary education and possible solution of the problem.. The function was directed by Md. Saiful Alam Boktier.
