Call to purge country of militants, war criminal partners

City Desk :
Information Minister Hasanul Haq Inu, MP, said that through purging partners of militants the country would reclaim its peace and security.
The minister said this on Friday while speaking at the inauguration of the meeting of the Jatiya Samajtantrik Dal (JSD) central executive committee at the party’s head office at Bangabandhu Avenue. Inu is also the president of the party, a key component of the ruling 14-Party Alliance.
Elaborating on the topic, the minister said “The way Begum Zia was trying to confuse the people about the Gulshan and Sholakia attacks, once again prove her politics of partnership with militants and war criminals”.
Inu said that Begum Zia had similarly tried to confuse the people on the war criminals’ issue but she failed. “It proves that her umbilical cord with the militants and war criminals were so strong that nothing could take them apart”, he added.
In her political and organizational report, JSD General Secretary, Shirin Akhter, MP, said “The current drive against the militants should continue but political and cultural mobilization should also be done, simultaneously”.
She emphasized better coordination among the constituents of the 14-Party Alliance in the configuration of the anti-militant committees.
The meeting was also addressed, among others, by executive president of the party, Advocate Rabiul Alam, former MP Shah Md Jikrul
