De Kruif to be made BD football head coach for one month

Lodewijk Darius de Kruif will be reappointed as Bangladesh national football head coach for one month ahead of the AFC Asian Cup UAE 2019 Qualifiers play-off, two-leg, matches against Tajikistan on June 2 and 7.The newly elected Bangladesh Football Federation (BFF) executive committee decided this in its first meeting headed by its president Kazi Salahuddin at BFF House on Saturday. Dutch football coach Lodewijk Darius de Kruif was first appointed as Bangladesh national football head coach in 2013, and again for a couple of months last year following his relief. The meeting also decided to pardon the five suspended national footballers including former national team captain Mamunul Islam Mamun, if they apologize to BFF for their misdeed. The meeting also formed two standing committees, namely BFF Finance Committee and BFF Internal Audit Committee. BFF senior vice-president Abdus Salam Murshedy was named as the chairman of the five-member Finance Committee. The other four members are Kazi Nabil Ahmed, MP, Badal Roy, Mahiuddin Ahmed Mahi and Tabith Awal. Former BFF general secretary Harun-ur-Rashid was named as the chairman of the four-member Audit committee. The other three members are Abdur Rahim, Shawkat Ali Khan Jahangir and Satyajit Das Rupu. The meeting also decided to include more venues for this season’s Bangladesh Premier Football League, besides Dhaka and Chittagong.
