SQ Chy, Mojaheed laid to rest

The both executed Salauddin Quader Chowdhury, Ali Ahsan Mohammad Mojaheed were buried in Chittagong and Faridpur districts respectively on Sunday morning.
In Chittagong, Salauddin Quader Chowdhury was buried at his family graveyard at his village home in Raozan upazila of Chittagong district around 9:45am after debt namaz-e-janaza.
He was buried beside his father Fazlul Quader Chaudhury at the family graveyard around 9:45am after a namaj-e-janaza, said Additional Superintendent of Police Mostafizur Rahman, who supervised the burial.
Earlier, an ambulance carrying the body of SQ Chowdhury from Dhaka, escorted by several vehicles of law enforcers, reached there around 9:00am.
Majharul Islam, deputy jailer of Dhaka Central Jail, handed over the body to SQ Chowdhury’s younger son Hummam Quader Chowdhury around 9:10am.
Some family members attended the namaz-e-janaza held in front of their family mosque in the morning.
The namaz-e-janaza was conducted by Mahibullah Babunagari, a teacher of Fatikchhari Nanupur Madrasah.
Under protection of police,
Rapid Action Battalion and Border Guard Bangladesh, he was buried around 9:45am. In Faridpur, Ali Ahsan Mohammad Mojaheed was buried on the premises of Ideal Cadet Madrasah in Faridpur town around 7:10am after a namaz-e-janaza.
The body of Mojaheed reached his ancestral home in Faridpur’s Khabashpur village around 6:35am with a tight security.
After arrival of the body it was handed over to the family members during the presence of executive magistrates Rubayet Hayat Shiplu and Mandeep Ghorai. Later, he was buried after performing Namaz-e-janaza and other formalities.
His namaz-e-janaza held at Khabaspur Ideal Madrasa ground around in the morning. Abdur Rashid, the district’s additional deputy commissioner, said Mojaheed was buried at 7:10am. It was conducted by his elder brother Afzal Mohammad Khaled.
An ambulance carrying the body of Mujahid from Dhaka, escorted by three vehicles of Rapid Action Battilion (RAB) and three of police, reached there around 6:35am.
About 150 people, including family members and Jamaat-Shibir activists, attended the namaz-e-janaza held on the madrasah ground around 7:00am. The namaz-e-janaza was conducted by his elder brother Afzal Mohammad Khaled.
Under protection of police and Rapid Action Battalion, he was buried in the morning.
Earlier, they were hanged simultaneously around 12:55am on Saturday at Dhaka central jail for committing crimes against humanity during the Liberation War in 1971. Hangmen Shahjahan and Raju led the executions while some other prisoners assisted. They executed men have seemed to be unmoved when they walked to the scaffold, police sources said.
