MASTUL Foundation stands by flood victims in northern area

MASTUL Foundation a social organisation has been working actively with the large-scale of relief operations since the onset of severe flooding in Northern Bangladesh. MASTUL already have distributed dry food and water purification tablets to 5,000 flood-victims.

Following the floods in the southern region, the northern part of the country, including districts like Sherpur, Nilphamari, Rangpur, Kurigram, and Lalmonirhat, has also been severely affected by unexpected flooding in recent weeks. Thousands of people have been devastated by the floods, struggling for food, clean water, and shelter. MASTUL Foundation has stepped in to provide food assistance and water purification tablets to the disaster-stricken communities.

While working in Sherpur, Ashraf, a MASTUL Foundation volunteer, said, “We are deeply saddened by the plight of the flood victims in the northern region.
Through this relief effort, we have been able to offer some help, and we hope it will assist them in rebuilding their lives.”
Many flood victims have expressed their gratitude for MASTUL Foundation’s noble efforts.

Flood affected Farida shared,”The water took away our house, and we didn’t even have drinking water. With these water purification tablets, we can finally drink clean water.”
Looking ahead, MASTUL Foundation has announced plans to repair homes, tube wells, and provide health support and self-sufficiency initiatives for those affected by the floods. Their efforts are supported by the Al Zakat Sadaqah Foundation.

Notedly Al Zakat Sadaqah Foundation is working in collaboration with Mastul Foundation on a joint initiative. MASTUL Foundation’s multifaceted social service activities include its own school, madrasa, orphanage and old age home where more than a hundred parentless orphans/orphaned students and the elderly live. More than half a hundred disabled crippled patients injured in road accidents are being supported by ‘Mastul Aid’ project.
