Rajdhani Unnayan Kartripakkha (RAJUK) conducted an eviction drive at Ati Model Town under Shakta Union of keraniganj Upazila on Tuesday.
The evicted drive was conducted under the leadership of RAJUK Executive Magistrate Md Monir Hossain Howlader while Director of Zone-5 Md Hamidul Haque, Authorized Officer Sayeda Islam, Deputy Urban Planner Nabayon Khisa, Assistant Authorized officer Md Ismail Hossain, Chief Building Inspector Sajal Majumder and Building Inspector Shuvo Saha, among others, were present.
During the drive, the RAJUK team demolished eight unauthorized buildings partially and penalized worth Tk 4 lakh for two owners as they did not follow the building code.
The team also directed three other owners of establishments to stop their construction works and to take approval of the RAJUK to restart.
Besides, the RAJUK team disconnected the electricity line of another building during the drive.
