University of Asia Pacific (UAP) organized an orientation program recently for the newly enrolled students in the Spring-2023 semester.
Dr. M. Alauddin, Chairman, Board of Trustees (BOT), UAP, was present as the Chief Guest. In his speech, Dr. Alauddin expressed his thankfulness to the students for choosing UAP as their destination of higher education. He assured the freshers with a view to extending all out cooperation from the Trustee Board of UAP.
He also advised them to get involved in co-curricular activities that helps a student to be more competitive in the current job market.
Professor Dr. Qumrul Ahsan, Vice Chancellor, UAP, chaired the event. In his speech, the Vice Chancellor congratulated fresher’s for joining the orientation program with strong convictions. He advised the freshers’ to make the best use of UAP’s resources.
Addressing the new students, Professor Dr. Md. Sultan Mahmud, Pro Vice Chancellor, UAP, said, this day is significant in your life because you will be inducted into the world of academia.
Studying at university level is very different from the kind of education you have received till now.
UAP Registrar, Professor Shahriyar Anam shared some essential rules and regulations of UAP with the fresher’s while Mr. Takad Ahmed Chowdhury, Director of Directorate of Students’ Welfare (DSW) of UAP introduced fresher’s with the clubs and its regular activities.
Professor Dr. Sayeed M. Ahmed, Dean, School of Environmental Sciences and Design; Professor Dr. Muhammad Mizanur Rahaman, Dean, School of Engineering; delivered their speeches at the orientation program.
The Heads, faculty members, administrative staff, freshers’ and their parents and guardians joined the event.
At the end of the program, a discussion meeting was arranged with guardians to learn about their expectations from the university.
