Mymensingh: A stakeholder interaction and inception workshop on ‘Climate-resilient aquatic food systems for healthy lives of young women and girls in Bangladesh (AQUAFOOD)’ was held in Hotel Lake Castle in the capital on Sunday. The focus of the workshop was to identify knowledge gaps and issues within and between the aquaculture production sector and health and nutrition related to aquatic foods. Minister for Fisheries and Livestock Md. Abdur Rahman, MP was the chief guest while Dr. Shakuntala Thilstead, Director for Nutrition, CGIAR was the chairperson. The special guests were Prof Dr. Emdadul Haque Chowdhury, Vice-Chancellor, Bangladesh Agricultural University, Prof Dr. Md. Didar-ul-Alam, Vice-Chancellor, Noakhali Science and Technology University. The keynote speakers were Dr. Nanna Roos, Principle Investigator and Coordinator of AQUAFOOD project, Prof Dr. David Little, University of Stirling, UK.
