School Cup Rugby Competition begins tomorrow

The Fiji Friendship Cup School Rugby Competition begins tomorrow at the Paltan Maidan. Bangladesh Rugby Federation is the management partner of the rugby competition while Consulate of Republic of Fiji is the sponsor of the meet and ADN Limited is the supporting partner of the tournament.
To mark this rugby competition, a press conference was held at the conference room of Bangabandhu National Stadium on Tuesday. General Secretary of Bangladesh Rugby Federation (BRF) Mousum Ali, Consul of Republic of Fiji Seemab Rasheed and Joint-Secretary of BRF Sayeed Ahmed spoke at the conference.
A total of 16 teams splitting into four groups will take part in the rugby competition.
One team from each group will get tickets of the semifinals. The semifinals will be held October 17.
The winners of the two semifinals will face each other in the final on October 18.
The budget of the tournament has been estimated at Tk four lakh and two thousand while Consulate of Republic of Fiji has given Tk three lakh to BRF and BRF will bear rest of the expenditure from its own fund.
Consul of Republic of Fiji Seemab Rasheed will inaugurate the rugby meet tomorrow at 11.00 am as the chief guest while National Sports Award winner table tennis player Saidul Haque Saadi will be with him as the special guest.
