Water on Mars
The NASA scientists claimed to have gathered the evidence of water in Mars. The scientists have been searching for sign of life in other planets. There is no surprise in it because there are verses in the Quran, dealing with evidence of water and life in both the heavens and the earth.
In three Verses – 21/30, 24/45 and 25/54 – it has been said that Allah created everything from water. The Verse no. 21/30 is being quoted hereunder for a sign thereof. The text is: Have not those who disbelieve known that the heavens and the earth were of one piece, then We parted them, and We have made every living thing of water.
This verse clearly says where there is water, there is life. So, if water is really found on Mars, the possibility of life cannot be ruled out. Allah says in Verse no. 42/29, “And of His Signs is the creation of the heavens and the earth, and what He has spread forth in both of them of living beings; and when He pleases, He is all-powerful to gather them together.” Thus, it becomes evident that water is the source of life, spreading in both the heavens and the earth. Allah created all the heavenly bodies i.e. stars, planets, meteor, nebula, comet, hills and mountains, seas and oceans, sun and moons, trees and flowers for service of men, as we read in Verse No. 45/13.
However, none but men of understanding only will be able to realise the explicit and the implicit meaning of the verses (of the Quran) which we come to know from the Verse No. 3/190.
