Medal table of World Athletics Championship

Kenya maintained lead in the medal table of the IAAF World Athletics Championship underway in the Chinese capital of Beijing on Sunday. Other than hosts China, the two other Asian nations winning medal were Israel and Tajikistan. Each of them got one silver medal only.
Jamaica’s Usain Bolt won two gold medals in the 100 m and 200 meter sprint to take record 10 gold medals. British Athlete Muhammad Farah won gold medals in 5,000 and 10,000 meters, which is another memorable record. Fifteen nations won gold medals of which Asia has one only. This is a very sad competition for the USA as they finished 3rd.
