Khagrachhari DC visits hill-slide affected areas

Deputy Commissioner (DC) Muhammad Wahiduzzaman has visited the affected areas following hill-slide in the district town on Saturday noon. He talked with around 20 affected families at Horinathpara, Adarsha-gram, Shalbagan, and Atharoparibar areas in the town during his visits and assured them of necessary help by Sunday.
He also talked to people who are under threat of hill-slides and are trying to move to safer places. DC Muhammad Wahiduzzaman said a committee would be formed soon to identify the vulnerable families and to rehabilitate them at safer places. Among others, Additional Deputy Commissioner (General) Mohammad Mizanur Rahman Molla, and Project Implementation Officer (Sadar) Mohammad Abul Hossain accompanied DC during his visits.
It may be mentioned that hundreds of families of the hill district have been affected due to the heavy downpour and hill-slides.
