Mohammedan keep winning streak

Dhaka Mohammedan Sporting Club Limited kept their winning streak in the Bangladesh Football League. By securing victories in four consecutive matches, the ‘Black and Whites’ have firmly established themselves at a good position.
On Saturday, at the Bir Shreshtha Shaheed Flight Lieutenant Matiur Rahman Stadium in Munshiganj, the Motijheel-based out-fit further solidified their position by thrashing Dhaka Wanderers Club by four goals to nil.
Mohammedan led the first half 1-0.
Mohammedan played an attacking brand of football from the very beginning. In the 29th minute, Shahriar Emon put his team ahead, finding the back of the net following a pass from his teammate Souleymane Diabate.
After the interval, Mohammedan intensified their attacking football. Seven minutes into the second half, Souleymane Diabate doubled the margin, converting a pass from the Nigerian player, Sunday.
Just four minutes later, Mohammedan struck again-this time, Captain Muzaffarov scored from a delivery provided by Diabate, effectively handing the former champions complete control of the match.
Even with a three-goal cushion, Mohammedan did not ease the pressure, keeping the Wanderers’ defense under constant duress with wave after wave of attacks. In the 86th minute, Arif Hossain scored the team’s fourth-off a pass from Emon.
Mohammedan Sporting Club Limited gained 12 points from four matches, while Dhaka Wanderers Club remained at the 13th position with naught playing four matches.
