Shuvo Bijaya: Echoes of Peace and Unity in Every Home

THE Hindu community celebrated Vijoya Dashami on Wednesday with the immersion of the idols Goddess Durga across Bangladesh.

The idols were immersed, accompanied by the sounds of drums and gongs. With this, the greatest religious festival for followers of the Sanatan faith came to an end.

According to the beliefs of the Hindu faith, Goddess Durga had arrived at her parental home from her marital home in Kailash. Having fulfilled the purpose of her visit, she returned to her husband’s abode in Kailash.

While the Durga Puja festival took place in the middle of the month of Arshin last year, this year it has extended into the first week of Kartik.

It is said that Vijaya Dashami is not merely a moment of farewell for Goddess Durga; it is an eternal symbol of the triumph of justice, virtue, and benevolent forces over injustice, sin, and malevolent powers.

Goddess Durga established peace and justice on earth by slaying the demon Mahishasura.

Last year, the sky remained overcast day and night, accompanied by rain. This year, however, the sky was clear and bright throughout the Puja celebrations.

As a result, the traditional atmosphere of Durga Puja prevailed from beginning to end, allowing devotees and visitors themselves fully in the festivities.

Above all, the festival concluded in a completely safe and secure environment, free from any fear or apprehension.

As per Hindu mythology, Goddess Durga manifested to alleviate the suffering of the oppressed, persecuted, and tormented beings of the universe.

While tantric practitioners, viewing Goddess Durga as the embodiment of the feminine principle, envision her in a female form.

Durga Puja, the principal religious festival of the Bengali Hindu community, was celebrated once again, as it does every year, to the delight of the devotees.

The sincere efforts of law enforcement personnel to maintain peace and order during this year’s Durga Puja — much like in previous years — deserve commendation.

They have been performing their duties with great dedication to ensure that divisive elements cannot disrupt the peace and order surrounding the festival.

The administration’s proactive role in facilitating the smooth celebration of the Durga festival is also worthy of praise.

On the occasion of Bijoya Dashami, we extend our heartfelt, flower-filled greetings to the followers of the Sanatan faith. May everyone’s life be beautiful and blessed. Best wishes to all for Vijaya Dashami. Shuvo Vijaya.
