You made my life miserable: Pori Moni
Pori Moni has expressed outrage after an objectionable AI-generated video featuring her was posted on Maasranga Television’s Instagram account.
Although the television channel has apologised, Pori Moni said the apology had done little to help her. She blamed the organisation for making her life miserable.
On Saturday, Pori Moni took to Facebook to express her anger at Maasranga Television.
In her post, she wrote, “Dear Maasranga Television, a simple apology through a photo card does absolutely nothing to help. You have once again made my life miserable, and you are entirely responsible for it.
I can no longer post anything on social media, whether it is related to my work or my personal life.”
Pori Moni also complained that her children’s photos were being flooded with hateful comments on social media.
“Even my children’s photos are not being spared from thousands of hateful comments.
Tell me, what am I supposed to do now? You have taken away my peace of mind and harmed my work. What else is left?” she wrote.
Earlier, Maasranga Television said its Instagram account had been hacked and that the video was posted during the breach. The channel also said it would take legal action against those responsible.
Referring to the channel’s statement, Pori Moni questioned when those responsible would actually be brought to justice. “You said you would bring the culprits to justice.
So, when exactly will that happen? As far as I’m concerned, you are the ones responsible now,” she wrote.
Late on Friday night, Pori Moni had also voiced her anger over the incident during a Facebook Live session.
She said the video was not new and that people had been sending it to her via WhatsApp for around a year to a year and a half.
