Actor Imran Khan ordered to leave India

Bollywood actor Imran Khan, who left the glamour of the silver screen, is suddenly in the news.

This nephew of superstar Aamir Khan is now the subject of a storm of discussion in the entertainment world and political circles.

The star has faced major legal troubles for participating in a political protest on the streets of Mumbai.

He has been ordered to leave India by October 28 in a strict notice from the Immigration Department.

The incident began on October 10. Actor Imran Khan had joined a protest demanding the resignation of Chief Election Commissioner Gyanesh Kumar at Mumbai’s historic August Kranti Maidan.

Although the actor is of Indian origin, he was born in the United States; that is, his citizenship is American.

He lives in India with an American passport and Overseas Citizen of India (OCI) card.
