Bipasha Basu returning to acting after 6yrs

Bollywood actress Bipasha Basu is returning to acting after a long six years. According to a report by The Telegraph, Bipasha has started shooting for an untitled web series directed by producer Hansal Mehta.

The series also stars Sunny Kaushal and Vishal Jethwa. It will be released on OTT platform Prime Video.

However, the name of the series, Bipasha’s character and the release date have not been revealed yet.

The series is scripted by Kashyap Kapoor and Raghav Raj Kakkar. The series is being produced by Prabhleen Sandhu under the banner of her production company Almighty Motion Pictures.

The new series revolves around a small town that is slowly becoming one of the main centers of the heroin trade on the continent.

The situation becomes complicated as the influence of the criminal world grows there. Sunny Kaushal plays the role of an honest and uncompromising police officer in the series.

While performing his duty, he has to deal with powerful people inside and outside his department. While maintaining his integrity, he also has to face the test of human values.

However, details about Bipasha Basu and Vishal Jethwa’s characters have not been revealed yet.

The makers have also not revealed at what stage their characters will become important in the story.

Bipasha Basu has been seen in relatively few films since her marriage. After marrying actor Karan Singh Grover in April 2016, she devoted most of her time to her family.

The couple welcomed their daughter Devi in November 2022. Bipasha previously starred in the web series ‘Dangerous’ opposite Karan Singh Grover in 2020.

The crime thriller series was one of her last notable on-screen roles. She previously played a dual role in the horror film ‘Alone’, which released in January 2015.

She played the role of twin sisters named Sanjana and Anjana in the film. Bipasha was opposite Karan Singh Grover.

Taking part in the shooting of a new series after a long break is going to start a new chapter in his acting career.

However, the audience will have to wait to know exactly what kind of character he will be seen in this work.
