New Bridgerton series about Lady Violet

Netflix’s popular drama series ‘Bridgerton’ is expanding its reach. Another spin-off is going to be added.

At the center of it will be one of the audience’s favourite characters, Lady Violet.

Netflix and production company Shondaland recently announced the series.
This spin-off series will mainly show the story of Lady Violet’s youth.

In the original series, Lady Violet was seen as a mature, patient and loving woman, who always acted as a guide for her children.

But what was the story of her own life like in this new series? Violet always tells her children the story of her and her husband, Viscount Edmund Bridgerton, who were married.

Their marriage was not just a social contract, but a pure love affair between the two.

The new spin-off will essentially tell the story of that love.

Lady Violet’s marriage to her husband, Viscount Edmund Bridgerton, is as tragic as it is fairy tale.

While Violet was expecting her eighth child, Edmund died suddenly at the age of 38.

Violet managed to cope with this intense grief and hold on to such a large family with one hand. This determination is one of the aspects of her character.

The name of the series has not yet been finalised. However, it is believed that it may be named after the previous successful spin-off ‘Queen Charlotte: A Bridgerton Story’.

Ruth Gemmell played the role of the elderly Lady Violet in the original series and Connie Jenkins-Greig played the role of the teenage Violet in ‘Queen Charlotte’.
