Bhabna’s ‘Princess Rosie’ heads to two Australian film festivals

Even before its release in Bangladeshi cinemas, Asif Islam’s King in the Land of Princesses is making its mark on the international film circuit.

The film, featuring popular actress Bhabna as Princess Rosie, has now been selected for two film festivals in Australia, adding to its growing international journey.

The Indian Film Festival of Sydney will begin on October 29 and run until November 1.

This will be followed by the Indian Film Festival of Perth, scheduled to take place from November 12 to 15. Director Asif Islam confirmed the news on Wednesday.

Earlier, King in the Land of Princesses was screened at film festivals in Moscow and Kazan. The film was also showcased at the Melbourne festival.

Speaking about the film’s international journey, Bhabna said, “Princess Rosie is a special character for me. It is truly exciting that the film is being screened at international festivals.

I hope audiences in Australia will also be able to connect with the story and the performances.”
