‘Heroine in the morning, villain by the afternoon’

Actress Koel Mallick has joined the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) after resigning from her position as a Rajya Sabha member of the Trinamool Congress.

Not only that, she has also secured a Rajya Sabha ticket from her new party, the BJP.

Senior Trinamool Congress MP Kalyan Banerjee from Serampore strongly criticised Koel over her party switch.

The Trinamool leader launched a scathing attack on the actress, both politically and personally.

According to him, although Koel plays the role of a heroine on the silver screen, she is a “villain” in the political arena. He described her as a “heroine in the morning and a villain by the afternoon.”
