Kalki’s film ‘Her Song’ in running for Oscars

French- born actress Kalki Koechlin, who has become a household name in Bollywood, has never lived in France.

She played a French-speaking character for the first time in John M Keller’s ‘Her Song.’

The film has officially entered the 2027 Oscar race, marking another significant chapter in Kalki’s career in the international arena.

The story of ‘Her Song’ revolves around Olivia, an American author who travels to her ancestral village in the south of France to write about her grandmother.

There, she forms an unexpected friendship with a local artiste. The film will be screened in theatres in Los Angeles, USA, from October 16 to 22.
