EBL hosts agent banking training program 2026

Eastern Bank PLC. (EBL), through its Agent Banking Department, organized the “Agent Banking Training Program 2026” for its Agent Owners and Agent Staff at Mahananda Hall of EBL Head Office in Dhaka recently.

The program was aimed at strengthening compliance awareness, operational efficiency and service excellence across EBL’s Agent Banking network, while enhancing engagement with the bank and supporting the sustainable growth of Agent Banking operations, according to a media release.

The training covered Information Security and Compliance; Compliance, Anti-Money Laundering (AML) and Combating the Financing of Terrorism (CFT); and Operational Directives.

Participants also exchanged views, shared practical experiences and provided feedback on EBL’s Agent Banking products, services and operations.

Sharfuddin Mozaffar Ali, Head of Agent Banking; Md. Nizam Uddin, Senior Manager, Agent Outlet Management; and Sifat Nowreen, Senior Manager, Agent Operations, along with members of the EBL Agent Banking Team, were present at the program and interacted with the participants.
