Ban Plastic Use

Single-use of plastic is a pressing issue of in Bangladesh. The country must enforce stricter restrictions on plastic bags, as plastic waste poses serious risks to human health and the environment.

Burning plastic releases harmful toxins into the atmosphere, contributing to air pollution and damaging ecosystems.

Discarded plastic also clogs drainage systems and waterways, causing sanitation problems and contributing to urban flooding.

The accumulation of plastic waste is equally harmful to wildlife. Industrial and commercial sectors are among the major contributors to this pollution.

Bangladesh must prioritise reducing and recycling plastic waste. People should also be encouraged to use reusable alternatives, such as cloth bags, for shopping. Every citizen deserves a clean and healthy environment.

I urge the government to strengthen regulations on plastic waste while communities, educational institutions and civic organisations work together to promote awareness and responsible waste management.
