15th board meeting of Sammilito Islami Bank held

The 15th meeting of the Board of Directors of Sammilito Islami Bank PLC, a state-owned Shariah-based bank, was held on Monday, at the Bank’s Head Office.

Chairman of the Board of Directors of the bank, Quazi Shairul Hassan, presided over the meeting, according to a press release.

Members of the Board of Directors: Lt. Col. (Retd.) Md. Khan Sobayel Bin Rafiq, PhD, Asma Akhter, FCA, K. M. Zakaria, Mohammed Ahsan Habib Chowdhury, Managing Director of Sammilito Islami Bank Abedur Rahman Sikder, Additional Managing Director & Chief Operating Officer Ahmed Zafrul Hasan and Company Secretary (CC) of the Bank Md Monirul Islam were present at the meeting.

The meeting reviewed the overall activities of the bank and approved various investment proposals.

The Board also provided necessary guidance to the management to strengthen investment recovery activities and ensure the continuation of normal banking operations.
