DMP files 2,481 cases against traffic violators in 24 hours
The Traffic Division of Dhaka Metropolitan Police (DMP) filed 2,481 cases against traffic law violators in the capital during a 24-hour enforcement drive.
The drive also resulted in 528 vehicles being dumped and 348 vehicles towed, according to a DMP press release issued on Sunday.
Among the eight traffic divisions, Uttara recorded the highest number of cases with 630, followed by Mirpur with 479 and Wari with 361.
Motijheel Division filed 328 cases, while Gulshan recorded 310.
Lalbagh Division filed 139 cases, Tejgaon 150 and Ramna 84 during the enforcement drive.
The DMP said its traffic enforcement operations would continue across the capital to maintain traffic discipline.
