Why Nusraat Faria withdraws from ‘Tribunal’
Actress Nusraat Faria has decided to step down from the courtroom drama-based film ‘Tribunal’.
She said that she has heard about some internal problems with the movie and decided to no longer be involved.
The courtroom drama ‘Tribunal’ is being made based on a case under the Women and Children (Prevention of Atrocities) Act, 2000.
Nusraat Faria joined the film directed by Raihan Khan last year. Although she was supposed to play the role of a barrister, the actress ultimately decided to walk out of the film.
Confirming the matter, Faria said that director Raihan Khan is a very close person to her. She had talked to him about the movie. However, in the end, he is no longer acting in ‘Tribunal’.
Faria said, “I was supposed to play the role of a lawyer here. But I am not doing this movie.
I heard that there are some internal problems with this movie. Because of this, it is not possible to stay with the movie.”
The actress also said that the shooting of her part in the movie has not yet begun.
She said that although many parts of the movie have already been shot, her parts were still pending. Since her scenes are mainly courtroom-centric, the shooting of those has not yet begun.
Nusraat Faria said, “I heard they shot many parts of the movie, but my parts were left.
Since my parts are courtroom-based, I didn’t shoot. Now it’s not possible for me to be with the movie anymore.”
Apart from Nusraat Faria, ‘Tribunal’ also stars Tariq Anam Khan, Mousumi Hamid, Tania Brishti, Saira and many others.
Earlier, Raihan Khan had said that about 65 per cent of the shooting of the film has been completed.
The plan was to release the film on Eid after completing the remaining shooting and post-production work.
However, the work on the film was halted at one stage due to the illness of actress Tania Brishti.
Meanwhile, the shooting and other work of the web film ‘Lapatta’ starring Nusraat Faria is also nearing completion.
In the meantime, she has joined another new movie last week. Azmeri Haque Badhon will act with Faria in the movie ‘Lojja’. The shooting of the movie is scheduled to begin from September 20.
