Miraz off to WI to play in CPL

Finally, the wait is coming to an end. Mehidy Hasan Miraz did not get a chance to play in the Caribbean Premier League (CPL) despite getting a team in 2017.

After almost a decade, this Bangladesh all-rounder can really be seen on the Caribbean Premier League stage with bat and ball in West Indies (WI).
Miraz left the country for Guyana on Saturday.

The star of the Bangladesh Cricket team is quite excited about this new challenge.

Before leaving the country, he expressed his excitement by posting a picture on social media from inside the plane.

Miraj wrote, “On the way to play in CPL is a new challenge. Ready to start the Caribbean journey with Guyana Amazon Warriors.”

This is the for the first time Miraz is going to get a chance to play in the CPL. Earlier, Trinbago Knight Riders picked up him to their team in 2017.

However, he did not get a chance to play a single match in that tournament.

This time, Miraz has been recruited by Guyana Amazon Warriors. He has been included in the team as a replacement for Afghanistan all-rounder Mohammad Nabi.

Nabi left the CPL to join the Afghanistan Cricket team to play a series against India.

There are still several matches left in the group stage of the tournament. As a result, Miraz will have an opportunity to prove himself this time.
Guyana Amazon Warriors are also now in a good form.

They defeated Jamaica Kingsmen by eight wickets on Saturday to claim their fifth consecutive win. Last year’s runners-up have maintained their 100% success rate so far with five wins from five matches.
