Apu Biswas recounts terror of the Nepal’s flash flood

Dhalliwood actress Apu Biswas and the crew of her upcoming movie Shikar have returned safely to Dhaka on Friday (August 28) after severe flash floods and landslides disrupted their shooting schedule in Nepal.

Apu Biswas shared her terrifying experience with the media. The actress revealed that a catastrophic natural disaster struck a hilly area two to three hours away from Kathmandu on August 26.

“We narrowly avoided a major accident. The accident happened pretty near the path we were meant to follow to reach Kathmandu.

We were supposed to travel on the 27th, not the 26th, by the grace of Allah.

But the catastrophe was so bad that traffic will not be allowed on the road for the next 15 to 20 days,” said Apu. Apu Biswas noted that the disaster occurred very close to the route they were scheduled to take back to Kathmandu.

Describing it as inhumane to continue filming under such dire circumstances, Apu stated that she consulted with the entire unit to suspend the shooting of songs.
