Actress upset by indecent proposals after playing role of ‘Zarina’

Bengali actress Anangsha Biswas rose to fame by playing the role of ‘Zarina’ in the Indian web series ‘Mirzapur’.

However, along with the popularity of the character, she also faced various harassments in her personal life. The actress recently spoke about that experience in an interview.

Anangsha played the appealing role of ‘Zarina’ in ‘Mirzapur’. Although she received praise for the character, she had to face vulgar and offensive messages.

She said that after the release of ‘Mirzapur 1’, people’s attitude towards her changed a lot.

Various kinds of immoral proposals started coming in social media, e-mails and inboxes.

The actress said, “I was devastated after the first season because
everything was new to me then.

From social media to inbox – I would get messages with offensive language everywhere. I would shudder to see it myself!” Anangsha was mentally devastated by these incidents.

She said, “The question arose in my mind – I am doing my job with honesty and dedication, yet why are people saying such obscene things?”

She said that some people compared her real life with her on-screen character. Because of this, she was directly given various kinds of bad advice.

“I was asked directly – what is your rate for one night? Will you go to Mauritius with us for two days? – My inbox was filled with such dirty messages.”
