CCC conducts dengue prevention drive

Chattogram City Corporation (CCC) conducted a dengue prevention drive in the city, focusing on mosquito breeding grounds, littering and the improper storage of construction materials on roads on Thursday.

The drive, led by CCC Executive Magistrate Chaiti Sarvabidya and Regional Executive Officer and Executive Magistrate Moumita Das, was conducted in the Brickfield Road and Ashraf Ali Road areas of Patharghata, reports BSS.

The team inspected roof gardens of residential buildings and construction sites to identify potential mosquito breeding grounds.

They also inspected stagnant water in drains beneath houses and construction materials left on roads.
Three people were fined a total of Tk 11,000 for various violations during the drive, while CCC distributed awareness leaflets among local residents on dengue prevention and mosquito control.
