Khulna MJU observes Khaleda’s birth anniv

The Metropolitan Journalists’ Union (MJU), Khulna, organised a discussion and prayer session on Saturday, marking the 82nd birth anniversary of BNP Chairperson and former Prime Minister Khaleda Zia.
The programme was held at the Humayun Kabir Balu Auditorium of Khulna Press Club at around 11:30am.
MJU Khulna Acting President Atiar Parvez chaired the programme, while its General Secretary Hasan Ahmed Molla moderated the event.

Former Vice-President of the Bangladesh Federal Union of Journalists Alhaj Abu Tayeb, former General Secretary of Khulna Press Club Kazi Motahar Rahman Babu, Khulna Press Club General Secretary Md Tarikul Islam, Vice-President Md Sohrab Hossain, Joint Secretary Bellal Hossain Sojol, MJU Treasurer AHM Shamimuzzaman, former BNP leader Humayun Kabir Babul, Daily Janmabhumi Executive Editor Sardar Abu Taher and Khulna Protidin Editor Sohag Dewan.

among others, addressed the discussion.
MJU members Fakir Shahidul Islam, Raju Ahmed, Khairul Alam, Nurul Amin Nur, Ramim Chowdhury, Sheikh Badr Uddin, Masud Al Hasan, Md B Rahman Masud, Umme Umama Ratri, Ahsanul Amin, Saiful Islam, Raju Kha, Md Bazlur Rahman, Salahuddin Ahmed Shawon, Zahidul Islam, Farhad Hossain Sojib and Md Ashik were also present.

A number of other journalists and members of the organisation attended the programme.

The event concluded with a prayer seeking eternal peace for the departed soul of Khaleda Zia. Khulna Press Club Imam Maulana Yusuf Habib led the prayer.
