Nat’l AI training prog begins in Bogura
A nationwide Artificial Intelligence (AI) training programme was launched in Bogura on Sunday to empower the country’s youth with cutting-edge technological expertise.
The initiative, part of the Department of Youth Development’s project titled ‘Skill Development of IT-literate Youth through Artificial Intelligence (AI) Technology,’ was inaugurated by State Minister for Youth and Sports Md. Aminul Haque as the chief guest at the Momo Inn Auditorium in the district.
State Minister for Local Government, Rural Development and Co-operatives (LGRD) Mir Shahe Alam, and State Minister for Public Administration Md. Abdul Bari attended the event as the special guests.
It was also attended by Bogura-6 MP Rezaul Karim Badsha, Bogura-4 MP Mosharraf Hossain, Bogura-3 MP Abdul Muhit Talukdar, Reserved Seat MP Suraiya Jerin Roni, Deputy Commissioner Toufiqur Rahman, Sports Md. Aminul Haque as the chief guest at the Momo Inn Auditorium in the district.

Chaired by Secretary to the Ministry of Youth and Sports Mahbub-ul-Alam, the inaugural ceremony was also attended by the project director, representatives from the training institutions, while nearly 2,000 trainees, project officials, trainers, and coordinators participated from across the country.
In his inaugural address, State Minister Md. Aminul Haque stated that the government is actively working to prepare the youth for a technology-driven workforce by equipping them with AI skills. He emphasized that this training will pave the way for numerous employment and self-employment opportunities.
He also unveiled plans to establish 10 international-standard sports villages across the country, including one in Bogura.
State Minister for LGRD Mir Shahe Alam remarked that this government initiative for tech-based skill development will significantly boost local employment opportunities. He urged the trainees to utilize their newly acquired skills to generate jobs.
Highlighting the importance of the programme, State Minister for Public Administration Md. Abdul Bari noted that such training activities will play a pivotal role in building an IT-skilled human resource base. He stressed the importance of regular attendance and active participation to effectively master these skills.
Masud Alam, Managing Director of E-Learning and Earning Limited, explained that the project is specifically designed to foster AI-based skill development. Participants will be granted access to various modern AI tools, enabling them to meet the evolving demands of both domestic and international job markets.
Delivering the presidential address, Youth and Sports Secretary Mahbub-ul-Alam reiterated that the project’s core objective is to transform IT-literate youths into AI experts. This training, he noted, will facilitate tech-driven employment, foster entrepreneurship, and enhance the nation’s capacity to earn foreign currency.
A total of 1,600 trainees have been selected, 25 from each of the 64 districts.
