CoU secures PIC registration from EC
Cumilla University (CoU) has obtained a Participant Identification Code (PIC) from the European Commission (EC), marking another milestone in its internationalisation efforts and enabling the university to participate more actively in European education, research and innovation programmes.
The development was announced in a post on the university’s official Facebook page on Friday.
According to the post, the registration was secured following an application submitted by the university’s Office of International Relations. The European Commission has assigned Cumilla University the PIC number 862844489.
With this registration, the university will be eligible to apply for and participate in a range of European Commission-funded initiatives as either an applicant or a partner institution.
The registration is also expected to facilitate the university’s participation in programmes such as Erasmus+, Horizon Europe, Jean Monnet and other European Union-funded projects.
The university said the recognition would create new opportunities for international research collaboration, joint projects, grants and global academic partnerships.
Professor Md Mashiur Rahman, Director of the Office of International Relations, said the PIC registration would strengthen opportunities for collaborative research, faculty and student exchanges, training, academic publications and international projects with universities and institutions across Europe.
