Fuel prices unchanged for August

The government has kept retail fuel prices unchanged for August, maintaining the rates introduced in May.
According to a notification issued by the Energy and Mineral Resources Division on Thursday, the existing prices of diesel, octane, petrol and kerosene will remain in effect from August 1.

Diesel will continue to sell at Tk115 per litre, octane at Tk145, petrol at Tk140 and kerosene at Tk135.

The notification said the decision was taken with the approval of the relevant authority following a proposal submitted by the Bangladesh Petroleum Corporation on July 27.

Fuel prices were last revised through a notification issued on May 31.
