KAU gets new VC

Professor Dr Md Asaduzzaman Sarkar of the Department of Agricultural Extension Education at Bangladesh Agricultural University (BAU) was appointed as the new vice-chancellor( VC) of Khulna Agricultural University (KAU).

The Ministry of Education issued a notification on Tuesday announcing his appointment for a four-year term.

According to the notification, the appointment was made with the approval of the President, who also serves as the Chancellor of the university, under Section 10(1) of the Khulna Agricultural University Act, 2015.

During his tenure, Prof Sarkar will receive the salary and allowances equivalent to those of his current position and will be entitled to other benefits associated with the office in accordance with the existing rules, the notification added.
