RPMP holds June crime review meeting

The Rangpur Metropolitan Police (RPMP) held its June 2026 crime review meeting at the Police Commissioner’s Office on Tuesday . The meeting was presided over by Police Commissioner Mohammad Abdul Mabud.

It was informed in the meeting that 182 people were arrested in 110 non-FIR cases and 150 accused in 156 cases in the anti-drug and crime drive in June.

In addition, 74 drug dealers were arrested in 60 drug cases. 1.114 kg of marijuana, 947 pieces of yaba, 22 grams of heroin, 33 pieces of tapendol, 16 bottles of phensidyl, two auto-rickshaws, two motorcycles and a stolen AC cord were recovered in the drive. The market value of which is 4 lakh 31 thousand 140 taka.

The Police Commissioner directed to strengthen intelligence-based and technology-based operations to maintain law and order, eradicate drugs, suppress juvenile gangs, cybercrime and other crimes. He also emphasized on improving traffic management.
