Houthi Strikes Bangladeshi killed in KSA
A Bangladeshi national was killed after a missile or drone launched by Yemen’s Houthi rebels struck an Aramco facility in Saudi Arabia’s Eastern Province on Sunday, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs said.
The victim was identified as Md Sajib Hossain, a resident of Cumilla district.
The Foreign Ministry on Monday expressed deep sorrow over the death and strongly condemned the attack.
The ministry conveyed its heartfelt condolences to the bereaved family and relatives of Sajib.
The Bangladesh Embassy in Riyadh has already contacted the deceased’s family members and employer and is providing necessary assistance, according to the ministry.
The embassy is also coordinating with the relevant Saudi authorities to complete the necessary formalities and arrange for the repatriation of Sajib Hossain’s remains to Bangladesh.
The ministry reiterated its condemnation of such attacks and expressed sympathy to the family of the deceased.
