Mutual Trust Bank PLC (MTB) launched its first standalone disclosure aligned with the IFRS S1 and S2 sustainability standards recently.

Titled “Climate Catalyst for Resilience 2025”, the disclosure was unveiled at Samson H Chowdhury Auditorium in MTB Tower, according to a press release.

The launch was followed by a day-long training programme on sustainable finance and Bangladesh Bank’s refinancing schemes, conducted by officials from the central bank’s Sustainable Finance Department.

Opening the programme, MTB Deputy Managing Director and GCRO Usman Rashed Muyeen said the publication represented an important milestone in the bank’s sustainability journey.

“Transparent climate-related disclosures and Bangladesh Bank’s sustainable finance and refinance schemes will play a vital role in strengthening resilience and supporting sustainable economic development,” he said.
